Kits- Speedkit- A blue-gray tom with pure green eyes. Rabbitkit- White she-cat with black tail, paws, and muzzle. Mousekit- Gray she-cat with light blue eyes. Tulipkit- Orange she-cat with sharp hazel eyes.

Sheepfur looked at her kits, Speedkit and Tulipkit, they were both playing around with Kangarootail's kits, Rabbitkit and Mousekit. The kits were having fun, Tulipkit was boucing around the nursery, Rabbitkit sitting and watching. Speedkit running in a fast circle, repeating the same thing "I'm the fastest thing aliive. I'm the fastest thing alive." Mousekit was stareing at Speedkit in wonder, her blue eyes followed Speedkit's pure green gaze. Kangarootail and Sheepfur laughed as the kits played, then all of a sudden, the deputy, Arrowlight, burst into the nursery, panting, she mewed "It's here.." Sheepfur gasped and gathered her kits, she mewed "It's too early!" Arrowlight looked at her as Kangarootail gathered her kits, she mewed "It just attacked..The Clan needs queens, kits, and elders to stay put until it's gone." Speedkit looked at the deputy, his green gaze scared, he mewled as he felt power surge through him, little did he know, that power would change his life. The deputy fled back outside, yowling was heard outside, Sheepfur huddled around her kits and mewed "It's going to be ok." Speedkit looked at his sister, Tulipkit, she looked scared as she huddled next to Sheepfur, her face was covered with aqua colored tears. Out at the battle scene, Hoverstar, along with the other warriors, were fighting the enemy, many lost their lives quickly, others wounded seriousily. Sheepfur wrapped her tail around Tulipkit and Speedkit, she shook her head in doubt, she mewed "I-I can't believe it..They found the way to camp." Hoverstar yowled and jumped on the lead wolf, the wolf growled and bit Hoverstar's neck, tossing him off of him, blood spilled from his neck. Hoverstar yowled as the lead wolf tossed him on the ground, he lay unmoving. "Hoverstar!" Arrowlight yowled and ran over to his unmoving leader. The lead wolf howled and all the wolves continued to attack. One of the wolves formed a pack of three and walked into the nursery. Sheepfur saw the wolves, she hissed and curled around her kits. Speedkit did'nt understand, he watched the wolves as they padded closer to them. One of the wolves placed a giant paw on Sheepfur's flank, she could'nt move to protect her kits. Another pinned Kangarootail down. Tulipkit, Mousekit, and Rabbitkit huddled next to eachother, out of the wolves view. Speedkit was picked up by a wolf, he dangled from the wolf's mouth, the wolf's razor sharp teeth was ripping the scruff of his neck, he did'nt yowl, he just winced. The wolves left, taking Speedkit with them. Hoverstar had lost a life, he jumped up on the Highstone and yowled to the cats "As you know, we were attacked by wolves, well we lost many cats, many wounded, but today, we lost a kit. He did'nt die. He was taken, but mark my words, we will get him back. Arrowlight, you take three cats with you and hunt them down." Arrowlight nodded, he padded out of camp with three cats behind her. Sheepfur wailed as Tulipkit returned to her, Tulipkit mewed to her mother "Pleawe momma. Don't be sad. He'll come back." Speedkit was scared, he was brought to the wolf's camp, the lead wolf looked at the wolf who was carrying him. The lead wolf barked "Why have you brought him?" He pointed his nose at Speedkit, who was trying to get free of the wolf, his scruff was slightly bleeding due to the wolf's razor sharp teeth. The wolf, who's name was Ice, barked "I have brought him from the cats to he maybe feed him to the pups." "He'll never do." The lead wolf bark, his name was Fire. Fire looked at the kit, his eyes narrowed, he barked "We will keep him. Raise him as our own. He may regain the abilty of a wolf, he will learn the ways of the wolf." Speedkit looked at Fire, his green gaze stared in surprise. He was going to be taught the ways of a wolf. A wolf... Arrowlight and her patrol, Novalight, and Wolffang followed her. They searched far for the scent of a scared, wounded kit, but it was never found. Novalight mewed "It's hopeless. We'll never find him. He might be wolf food by now." Arrowlight sighed and mewed "I guess your right. We need to head back." The patrol headed back to camp. As soon as they entered the camp, the medicine cat, Palmtree, ran to Hoverstar, she yowled "StarClan has spoken! The Golden Pelt Of Speed Will Save The Clan From The Growling Darkness Fangs." "I know of no golden speed pelt." Hoverstar mewed. "That's what they told me!" Palmtree mewed. Sheepfur padded out of the nursery, she over-heard them, she walked over to them and mewed "Speedkit was fast." Hoverstar looked at her and sighed "But he might be wolf food now." Then he scanned his words and saw what he had just said. Sheepfur started to cry. "I MISS SPEEDKIT!" "We'll find him and bring him back." Hoverstar mewed to the upset queen. "But you just said he was dead!" She wail, tears coming down her face. "We don't know that." Novalight mewed walking over to them. Speedkit looked at Ice and mewled. "Shut up you brat!" Ice growled and bit into his scruff deeper, making it bleed more. Speedkit winced and hushed up, he learned quickly. "Take him to Free." Fire barked "I know she will take good care of him." Free was Fire's mate. Ice took Speedkit to Free, Free looked at the little kit, she growled as Ice walked closer. "What is that flee bitten thing doing here!?" She growled. "Fire has ordered you watch him." Ice barked sitting the kit down at her side. "Fire.." Free repeated "Knowing him I knew he'd be this stupid." She took Speedkit and barked "He'll be known as Speed no longer what his old parents called him." Ice nodded and back out of the den. Free looked Speed over, she mewed "Well one thing's for sure, they were'nt very nice to you." She started to lick Speed's bleeding scruff. Speed purred as she licked him. Free barked "But one thing I must tell you, if you don't want to be hurt, stop all your kitten stuff. You'll be bitten till you are as weak as an old wolf." Speed understood and stopped. "Bur don't worry, you might learn a few things from us as you grow." Free barked. "What makes you so sure about that?" Sheepfur mewed. "I'm sure of it." Novalight mewed "We did find traces of a kit, but they were too short to follow." Sheepfur looked at her, her eyes sparkled. "But I can't insure you he's not dead." Arrowlight mewed. Sheepfur frowned and padded back to the nursery. Tulipkit, Rabbitkit, and Mousekit padded up to her. Tulipkit mewed "Are you ok momma?" Rabbitkit mewed "Just calm down and everything will be ok." Mousekit wailed "I CAN'T BELIEVE HE'S GONE!" Sheepfur mewed to the kits "I'm fine Tulipkit. I'm just sad about Speedkit is all..." Speed had taken a nap, Free was awake, one of the mean wolves walked into Free's den, he looked at Speed and growled, Free growled at him "Shut up, Ringo!" Ringo eyed Free, he snapped "You better watch that kit's back. He'll be in trouble one day." "Your just saying that!" Free snarled. Speed opened his eyes and lifted his head. Ringo looked at the kit, he quickly moved and scraped his claws over Speed's ear, making a v-shape in it. Speed yowled as his ear felt the new burning pain. Free bared her teeth and growled "Get out of here!" Ringo fled. Free started to lick Speed's ear, she barked "It's going to be ok.." Speed remebered his mother saying the same words, tears built up in his eyes and down his face. "Sheepfur's not getting over losing Speedkit yet, is she?" Wolffang mewed walking over. "No.." Novalight mewed, she looked over at the nursery. Sheepfur licked Tulipkit's head and mewed "At least I still have you." Tulipkit purred, she had no idea what was happening to her brother. Sheepfur looked at her kit and mewed "Let's get some sleep. Tomorrow will be better." Tulipkit nodded as everyone in camp headed to their dens and fell asleep. Free was already asleep when Speed opened his eyes and looked at her. Speed looked around, Ringo was back, Ringo stared Speed in the face, he growled "You think you can just walk in here and steal Free all to yourself." Speed looked at Ringo and mewed "No sir." Ringo growled at him "Stop mewing you stupid kitty!" Speed shock and mewed "I'm sorry, but it's the only sound I make." "We'll fix that." Ringo barked, an evil snarl appeared on his face. Speed shuttered in fear. Ringo jumped at Speed, picked him up and ran outside. He threw Speed into a unprotected den, a cold and dirty one, he could get sick it. Ringo growled "This is where we put the bad pups. They die later." Speed was scared, cold, hungry, sad, and wounded. He thought he was the saddest kit in the forest. The next morning came and Sheepfur woke up, she looked around, Tulipkit was still asleep. She sighed, she still missed Speedkit, but she was going to have to learn how to live life without him. Palmtree padded into the nursery, she looked at Sheepfur and mewed "Good your awake. I need to talk to you." Sheepfur looked at Palmtree and mewed "Go on ahead I have the time in the world." "I was wanting to ask you something about Speedkit." Palmtree mewed her green eyes filled with worry. "What is it?" Sheepfur mewed looking away. "He was fast right?" Palmtree asked. "Yes, that's right." Sheepfur mewed nodding her head. Palmtree thought and then mewed "Ok thank you." Then she padded out of the nursery. Free woke up, she looked down to see Speed missing, she howled "SPEED'S MISSING!" Fire quickly ran into the den and licked Free's head, he barked "It's ok. I'll get someone to find him." Free nodded. Fire walked out, he gathered Ringo and Ice, he barked to them "I need you to find that kit. If he has gone away, rip up his pelt. Show him never to disappear. But I need to talk to you first, Ice." Ice nodded and followed Fire. Ringo laughed when they left, he walked over to the den he had put Speed in, he picked up the harmless kit and tossed him out of the camp. Speed opened his eyes to see he was out of the camp. Ringo ran back to camp and howled "I found him! I found him!" "You did?" Fire asked walking out of his den "Where?" "Out here." Ringo barked and ran to where Speed was, he was walking around. "Ice, you get the kit and Ringo, you are in charge of his punishment." Fire barked and walked away. Ice picked up Speed and handed him to Ringo. Ringo had a evil smile on his face as he held Speed. Palmtree padded into Hoverstar's den, she mewed "I think I know who the golden pelt of speed is." Hoverstar looked at her and mewed "Who?" "Speedkit." "He might be wolf food!" Hoverstar hissed. "I-I just sa-" "NO! He's not the golden pelt of speed! Now leave!" Hoverstar hissed to Palmtree. Palmtree flinched and ran out, crying. Ringo walked to a clear area of his packs camp, no one could see. It was like a plave just for this. Speed looked up at Ringo as he dropped him, he mewled when he hit the hard ground. Ringo growled "Shut up you!" He slashed his claws over the kits nose, making it bleed. Speed drew back in pain, he hissed at Ringo "Atleast I'm not the one who would hurt a kit!" "Stop making cat sounds you flee bag!" Ringo snarled and bit into Speed's hind leg, not letting go, blood spilled down his leg as Speed yowled in pain. Speed growled at Ringo "I can't make wolf sounds!" The without knowing, Speed lifted his muzzle and howled just like a wolf. Ringo bit down harder and then let go, he bit Speed's back, he growled "You may be able to howl, but you can't escape!" Speed yowled in pian, but soon his yowls turned into yelps like a wolfs. "Palmtree!" Rabbitkit yowled running out of the nursery and to the crying medicine cat. "Please don't cry." Rabbitkit mewed. "I'm sorry Rabbitkit, but I'm just a little sad right now." Palmtree mewed, she licked the kits head. "Why?" Rabbitkit mewed. "Well Hoverstar just does'nt understand." Palmtree mewed turning her head. "Well you can talk to me." Rabbitkit mewed. "Thank you Rabbitkit." Palmtree mewed and told her the story. Speed felt pain surge through him, he started to cry in pain. "That's right!" Ringo growled and bit Speed's flank "Cry, cry!" Speed yelped in pain as blood spilled from everyone of his wounds. Ringo let go of him, he licked his lips of the blood, he growled and bit his leg, making blood cover his leg. Speed yowled and pulled his leg free, he was covered in blood, he mewed "Please, leave me alone!" Blood stained his pelt and pain surged through him, Speed yelped and then he barked "LEAVE ME ALONE!" Ringo looked at the kit, he blinked and barked "Ok. Ok." He picked up the kit and took him to Free. Free was overjoyed to see Speed, she took Speed and quickly started to lick him. Speed smiled and yelped as she licked his sore wounds. "Really?" Rabbitkit mewed "Well I would love to talk to you more." "Well I got to go now." Palmtree mewed and padded to her den. Palmtree looked around her den, she saw a fang laying in the middle of the den, she picked it up and looked at it. It was a wolf's fang. Palmtree thought 'A wolf's fang.' Then a fast blow of wind blew in the den, she mewed aloud "Speed, wolf." Free looked at Speed as he yelped in pain, she barked "Speed, I have to tell you something." Speed winced and mew-barked "What?" Free barked in a wise tone "You see..If your going to be raised by wolves, then your going to turn into a wolf yourself." Speed's eyes went wide, he mew-barked "You don't think I'll really be a wolf do you?" Free barked "If you learn everything wolf, you will drop your Clan cat ways and join the wolf ways." Speed did'nt say anything, he just started to lick his wounds again, he yelped as he touched them. Free licked his head and barked "Please stop licking them, your going to make them infected." Speed mewed "Well the medicine wolf can heal me." "No she can't." Free barked. "Why not?" Speed barked. "She will not heal cats." Free barked. "What's wrong with being a cat?" Speed mewed. "Well it's just, wolves have always been enemies to cats and well.." Free searched for words that would'nt hurt the kits feeling, the only reason the wolves stole Speed in the first place was to train him to become a killer and to kill all the Clan cats in his return home. Free barked "She's had a bad thing with cats is all." Speed looked at her and mew-barked "Well I have nothing to do with that." Free sighed and then growled "You better shut up, your really annoying sometimes, now stop asking questions!" Speed learned that one fast, he barked "I'm sorry, momma." Free looked at Speed, her eyes wide, she barked "What did you call me?" "Nothing." Speed mewed. "No. No. Did you just call me your momma?" Free barked looking into the kits eyes. Speed looked at Free braveily and barked "I did. Hurt me if you wish, but you are my momma!" Free licked Speed's head and barked "You'll be my little boy no matter what, but you can't let the other wolves know. They'll have your pelt and mine."
Speed looked at her, he mew-barked "I-I don't want to become all wolf..." "You won't." Free barked "You'll only be half wolf." "NO!" Speed yowled. "Hush!" Free growled and placed her tail over his mouth "Be quiet." Speed shook his head, he barked "But-But.." "No buts." Free barked. Speed looked at her, he thought about the life of a wolf, he thought it'd be kinda cool, he barked "Alright, but-" "What did I just say?" Free growled. "I know, I was just saying that how would I become a wolf?" "Well you see as you grow your body will get used to the wolf ways, you will grow strong, and you will start to see these changes after you start acting like one." "But does that mean-" "Yes it does." "Come on..." "Sorry Speed, but you will be punished from time to time." "But you saw what Ringo did to me!" Speed mewed, he remebered his wounds. Free looked at him and barked "Well I would help but I don't know herbs, so they're going to have to heal on their own." "But what if-" "They might, but I know that much." Free barked. "Ok." Speed barked, he curled up next to Free and took a nap. Free saw he was asleep, she licked his head and barked "If only you knew what was going to happen to you..."
